Healing Hands II & III

Goodness! I actually finished watching them in less than 1 month or should I say in three weeks :P

On Healing Hands II:I have to say if you watch Healing Hands 2 first and then 1, maybe you will like it better. Problem is I watch Healing Hands 1 and the sequel come as part surprise and as part disappointed. Well, I am happy that Jackie finally wake up and Paul is overjoy about it. Wait! They actually KILLED off Jackie only after 2 episodes later! Imagine my shock and the shock of other Paul and Jackie’s fans out there. Annie just disappears from the scenes and only appears at the last episode (the HK version that’s it, she appear for like 3 seconds). TVB is actually put more characters in HH2 which is I think reflect the hospital in real life. You go to a hospital and you can find any type of doctor on the doctors’ board.

As before I loves Lawrence Ng/Ada Choi and Bowie Lam/Flora Chan on screen chemistry. I am not sure if I really like Lawrence Ng/Yoyo Mung chemistry that much. It was ok but if I have to choose, I’ll take Lawrence and Flora anytime.

More details on HH2 in later time… :)

On Healing Hands III: I read a lot about HH3 and I am curious enough to give it ago. Let me tell you this, the one and only factor that allow me to finish the entire 40 episodes is Lawrence Ng. and a bit of Bowie Lam in it too. It was completely different from the first two. I find it quite boring to be honest. The interesting part of it is Paul’s emotional breakdown. I can’t really blame the guy for having a breakdown. Jackie’s death, SARS, Jackie’s father’s death, loss of his and Tracy’s child, Tracy’s death, even the horse that he adopted is dead. I’ll be surprise if the poor guy is not having a mental breakdown. Everyone that he ever loved is dead. As Henry said in one episode, “He only looked tough on the outside. He bottles everything to himself”. Sometimes the toughest person in a crowd is actually the weakest.

More on HH3 next time…

So how about Healing Hands IV? I am not sure but by far I only know that Files of Justice is the only one to have the fifth sequel. It was a huge success, but then most of original cast is still intake until the 5th part.

In HH2, we lost half of original cast from HH1. Don’t even bother with HH3, there are only 2 people that come from HH1, Lawrence and Bowie. Lawrence Ng is moving to China from I read and he is sort of semi-retired now. Bowie is quite popular in HK now and I believe he is quite busy lately. So if TVB is going to have HH4 without Paul or Henry in it, I guess they can just forget about the idea. I’ll be the first one not to watch it.

Don’t know about all you, Healing Hands’ fans?
